Google (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) has acquired Moodstocks.
The tech giant has announced that it will acquire the image-recognition startup, which some call the “Shazam for images,” as it works in a similar manner as the music app.
Moodstocks said its reason behind joining forces with Google is to build the best image recognition tools it can. As part of the transition, the startup is eliminating its application program interface (API) and software developer kits (SDK).
Paying subscription customers will have access to the service until the end of their subscription.
