Taco Bell Tests Cheetos Burritos

Taco Bell (NYSE:YUM) is testing Cheetos Burritos, a product that combines burritos with the crunchy snack food.

Taco BellThe product will include seasoned beef, rise, a cheese sauce and crunchy bits. Each Cheetos-stuffed burrito will retail for $1, and the restaurant reports that the chain will begin selling them around the nation in early August.

Taco Bell has been introducing a slate of new products lately, including the Triple Double Crunchwrap, which is a multi-layered version of the original Crunchwrap.

 

Each Cheetos stuffed burrito is just $1 and the chain expects it to start rolling them out nationwide in early August. You can get either a Beefy Cheddar Cheetos Crunchwrap Slider or a Supreme Cheetos Crunchwrap Slider.

It was recently announced that Taco Bell CEO Brian Niccol has joined the board of directors of Harley-Davidson.

Taco Bell netted $9 billion in revenue last year, and the company has 2,000 employees in the U.S.

Yum Brands has had its troubles abroad recently as its China franchise has slowed down considerably after two main bidders argued over the company’s price.

The company is looking to spin off its China business, which has amounted to more than $8 billion in sales, as well as $1 billion in adjusted earnings.

YUM stock is up 0.9% Thursday. Shares have surged about 23.8% year-to-date, rising about 12.4% within the last three months of trading.

Yum Brands recently reported quarterly earnings results that topped estimates.
