A new Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) creation titled The Tick is coming out next month.

The Tick

The e-commerce site shared images of the upcoming TV movie, which is an adaptation of a Ben Edlund comic book of the same name. The TV movie follows an odd accountant who wears a tight, blue body suit to combat evil with his sidekick Arthur.

He overcomes a traumatic event by facing a villain that was previously thought to be dead. The Tick is played by Peter Serafinowicz, who is known for his roles in Shaun of the DeadGuardians of the Galaxy and Spy.

Jackie Earle Haley will play his arch-nemesis “The Terror.” The images released by Amazon reveal Serafinowicz in his blue suit, as well as Whoopi Goldberg interviewing another suited-up superhero in the show, who is played by Brendan Hines.

Wally Pfister — director of photography for The Dark Knight — will be directing The Tick. Show creator Edlund wrote the new film.

The popular comic book has previously been adapted into several live-action features, including a 1994 TV series and a 2001 show.

The Tick’s main superpower is superhuman strength, which helps him battle situations of high drama–he becomes stronger as tensions arise. He can also swim underwater for an exceptionally long time, and he even survived a 4,00o-foot drop.

The show is slated for an Aug. 19 release.

AMZN stock is UP 0.3% Friday.
