Walmart (NYSE:WMT) is testing the sale of “ugly produce” in Florida.

Walmart

300 of the retailer’s locations in the Southern state will be offering fruits and vegetables with slight nicks or bruises at a considerable discount.

A Washington state seller of apples called “I’m Perfect” will be included as part of Walmart’s new offering, which will be sold in two-pound and five-pound bags.

Most of the produce that Florida Walmart stores will carry are perfectly edible on the inside–they simply go for less money due to aesthetic reasons.

Another food provider that is part of the move is “Spuglies,” which consists of selling potatoes that have been damaged due to weather conditions.

The company has been putting the work in lately, announcing plans to remove eight dangerous chemicals from its shelves, including substances used in cleaning and beauty products.

Walmart is also dropping one of its organic food brands, called Wild Oats. The company helped to stack the retailer’s shelves with pastas, cereals and more.

Another initiative issued by the company that is doing well is its curbside pickup service, which is now in more than 30 cities around the country.

Walmart has 2.2 million employees around the globe who work in more than 11,500 stores and clubs. 4,627 of these locations are located in the U.S.

WMT stock is down 0.1% Friday.
