Social: Apple (AAPL) is reportedly working on its own social media service, reports Bloomberg. The new report claims that the tech company is looking to create a video-sharing platform similar to Snapchat or Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB). This would have it releasing basic tools for video editing on its mobile devices. It also mentions that the company also wants to enhance its own iMessage service and work on a system to connect users across multiple different platforms, such as email and other accounts online. The report claims that the tech company is looking at a 2017 release.
Headphone: Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak isn’t a fan of the company’s rumored plans for the iPhone 7, The Australian Financial Review notes. Wozniak said in an interview with the publication that he thinks removing the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 will anger many of the company’s customers. He also voiced his distaste for listening to music via Bluetooth, which is what the iPhone 7 is rumored to do. Wozniak called listening to music through Bluetooth “flat.” However, the former AAPL employee claims he would be interested in a possible “Bluetooth 2” with “higher bandwidth and better quality.”
Update: Apple has just released an update for iOS 9.3, reports AppleInsider. Owners of an AAPL device that is running iOS 9.3 can now update it from iOS 9.3.4 to iOS 9.3.5. This update was released to fix several serious issues present in iOS 9.3.4. These issues were discovered by an Israeli hacking firm and posed a threat to users’ privacy. The new update can be downloaded over the air via the Software Update feature, or via a PC or Mac with iTunes installed.
