Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE:CMG) has announced that it’s offering free drinks to students in September.

Chipotle, CMG, Students, Free DrinksThe free drink promotion at Chipotle lasts for the entire month of September. It includes high school, undergraduate and graduate college students that have a valid ID on them. This also applies to kids in high school that are being home schooled.

Students that stop by Chipotle can get a free soft drink or iced tea. This only includes fountain drinks at the fast-casual restaurant chain and not bottled drinks. Students also have a limit of a single drink per person, per visit. The drinks are only available for free if students order food while dining in at the company’s locations.

Chipotle’s free drinks for students promotion also works towards its loyalty reward program. The Chiptopia loyalty reward program offers customers free food when they make multiple paid visits to the chain’s locations during a month. The program rewards customers with free food after they’ve spent a minimum of $6 at the stores.

“It can be tough when the end of the summer collides with the reality of heading back to school,” Chris Arnold, Chipotle’s Communication Director, said in a statement. “We’re filling – and refilling – students’ cups at all Chipotle locations to celebrate the beginning of the new academic year.”

Chipotle is also offering more adult drinks at some of its locations in September. Certain CMG restaurants will be offering discounted and free alcohol to customers 21 or older that stop in between 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on certain days of the week.
