Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (NYSE:KKD) has a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Doughnut that isn’t available in the United States.
The Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Doughnuts are currently available in the United Kingdom and Australia. However, there’s been no word that the product will make its way stateside. One petition is seeking to change this.
The petition, titled “Bring Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Donuts to the U.S.”, urges the company to bring the offer to America. The Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Doughnut has a peanut butter sauce filling. The baked delight is also covered in chocolate icing, peanut butter chips, vanilla cookie crumbs and a chocolate drizzle.
American fans of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, which are made by Hershey Co (NYSE:HSY), would no doubt love to see the Krispy Kreme doughnut in America. The petition is still new. It currently only has a little more than 1,300 supporters.
“Americans want Reese’s Peanut Butter Donuts. Americans need Reese’s Peanut Butter Donuts. Americans deserve Reese’s Peanut Butter Donuts,” Ryan Craggs, the creator of the Change.org petition, said in a statement. “Help convince Krispy Kreme to bring these chocolately, peanut-buttery, donut-y wondertreats to the good ol’ US of A.
Craggs is also using social media to bring attention to the Krispy Kreme Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Doughnuts. He is asking those that sign the petition to send messages to the company via its account on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR). There’s also a hashtag campaign, “#MakeDonutsGreatAgain!”, that he’s using to spread word about the product.
