Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS) has announced that it is shutting down the doors of its popular Disneyland ‘Tower of Terror’ ride.

DisneylandThe famed attraction has been around for decades, inviting riders to an experience that slowly moves up through an elevator before falling down in a fast and unexpected fashion. The Tower of Terror is especially scary when you consider the ghosts and otherworldly beings that inhabit the Disney creation.

Disneyland’s move will be in effect as of Monday, January 2, 2017. In order to give the Tower of Terror its proper goodbye, a “Late Check-Out” option will exist from September 9 to October 31.

The expansion of the ride essentially allows you to ride the Tower in complete darkness after twilight every day within this time frame. The move follows Disney’s announcement that its California Adventure Park will eliminate the ‘Twilight Zone Terror’ ride in exchange for a Guardians of the Galaxy creation.

The company has been working hard to revamp its offerings, revealing that a Star Wars land is currently in the works. The attraction will even include a realm where you can battle with real lightsabers that could exist in a number of ways–either through dust particles, nitrogen or water vapor.

DIS shares are up 0.2% Friday. In Disney’s most recent fiscal third-quarter report, the company revealed that it beat earnings expectations, putting DIS stock in a good position for investors looking to buy right now.
