  • This includes a desire to bring Google Station to more areas around the world.
  • The public Wi-Fi service is currently available at 52 train stations in India.
  • There are already plans in place to increase the number of train stations that offer the Wi-Fi to 100.
  • 15,000 people in India use the Wi-Fi every morning as their first connection to the internet.
  • There are 3.5 million people in India that use the service every month.
  • Partners that sign up for Google Station can monetize it.
  • This includes requiring users to pay an access fee, or viewing advertisements.
  • However, locations that don’t want to charge visitors for the service can offer it for free.
  • The expansion of Google Station to more areas and locations comes less than a year after it was created to offer free Wi-Fi at train stations.
