Leading the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of leaked benchmarks for AAPL’s next-gen processor. Today, we’ll look at that and other Apple Rumors for Wednesday.

Apple Rumors, A10X, Benchmark Tests, AAPLA10X Benchmarks: What are claimed to be benchmarks for Apple’s A10X processor have been leaked, reports BGR. The leaked benchmarks for the A10X, which hasn’t been announced yet, show a powerful new processor for the company’s mobile devices. The processor scored a 4236 on the single-core test and 6588 on the multi-core test. In comparison, the iPhone 7’s A10 processor scored a 3490 in single-core test and 5580 on the multi-core test. The tests were conducted using Geekbench and the A10X also beat out the processor in the iPad Pro.

Public iOS 10.1 Beta: Apple has released the second public beta of iOS 10.1, MacRumors notes. The new beta has been released roughly two weeks after the first public beta came out. It gives public beta testers with an iPhone 7 Plus access to the new Portrait feature that will be added with the update. The beta will also likely fix several bugs found in iOS 10. An over-the-air update can be used to gain access to the new beta for public testers.

Apple TV 3: The third generation of AAPL’s TV has been officially discontinued, reports 9to5Mac. A leaked email to employees and education partners from AAPL confirmed that the set-top box has been discontinued. The company has removed the item from its online and physical stores. All links to the third-generation of the TV now sends people to pages for the fourth-generation of the set-top box. The device was first released back in 2012.
