iPhone 7 Speeds: A test of Apple’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have found that one version is slower than the others, reports BGR. The tests, which were performed by GSM Arena, showed that the 32GB versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are slower than the 128GB and 256GB versions. The 32GB iphone 7 and 7 Plus were unable to keep up with the larger capacity versions when it came to read and write speeds. The 32GB iPhone 7 Plus actually performed worse than the iPhone 6s Plus when it came to write speed, but read speeds were the same.
iOS 10.1 Beta: Apple has released the third beta of iOS 10.1. to developers, MacRumors notes. The new beta can be downloaded from the tech company’s Developer Center or via an over-the-air update. It comes out just one week after the second iOS 10.1 beta was released to developers. The big feature being added in this update is Portrait mode for the iPhone 7 Plus. However, it will also likely include bug fixes for problems found in iOS 10 after it was released about a month ago.
iOS 10 Adoption: Adoption rates for iOS 10 have reached two-thirds of devices, reports 9to5Mac. 66.7% of iOS devices now have iOS 10 installed. This is the status 27 days after the new mobile operating system was released. This makes it the fastest adoption rate for any version of iOS that has been released. It was actually expected to lack behind iOS 9 adoption rates, but shot up quickly about two weeks after it was released.
