Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS) has announced plans to bring back the beloved 1980s and 1990s cartoon TV show Muppet Babies.

DisneyDisney Junior is bringing the show back, which has already begun its production. The company announced that it will release the show in 2018 on its cable channel.

The original Muppet Babies was drawn by hand, including baby versions of the classic Muppets that Jim Henson designed. It was originally broadcasted on CBS from 1984 to 1991 every Saturday morning.

Nancy Kanter, executive vice president, original programming and general manager, said the company is proud “and a little bit giddy” to begin the creation of the beloved show.

“Parents will delight in seeing their favorite Muppets in the mixed animation style they remember from the original series, and kids will be introduced to this warm and zany world made just right for the Disney Junior audience,” she added.

Disney acquired the rights to the Muppets in 2004. The Muppet Babies is especially designed to reach audiences between the ages of 4 and 7, marking another show that uses nostalgia to breathe new life in the 21st century.

The company is also launching an updated version of DuckTales in 2017, along with a TV movie inspired by Legends of the Hidden Temple this November. In addition to this, Hey, Arnold will be translated into a TV movie next year.

DIS shares grew 1% Wednesday.
