Made in America: AAPL is reportedly trying to get its manufacturers to move their work to the United States, AppleInsider notes. The tech company is said to be in talks with both Foxconn and Pegatron about moving some of their work to America. Reports claim that the two companies have looked into the idea, but don’t know if it would be cost-effective enough to warrant the move. AAPL CEO Tim Cook said in 2015 that if Donald Trump proposed a 45% tariff on foreign goods, it still may not be enough to bring manufactures of its devices to the United States.
iPhone Stability: A new report claims that Apple’s iPhone devices fail more often than those running Alphabet Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,GOOGL) Android, reports BGR. The report, which comes from Blancco Technology Group, is for the third quarter of 2016. It claims that 62% of iOS devices suffered from some type of failure during this time. In comparison, only 47% of Android devices saw a failure during the third quarter of 2016.
