Facebook (FB) has given its own doomsday report to counter one that came from Princeton University.

Facebook-Princeton-doomsdayThe doomsday report done by Facebook suggests that Princeton will only have half of its students by 2018. The report goes even further and claims that by 2021, no one will be attending the university. Facebook used its own data, and data collected from Google (GOOG) to create the report.

Facebook’s report of Princeton is a counter to a doomsday report published by two researchers at the university in regard to Facebook. In the Princeton report, the researchers conclude that the social media website may lose as much as 80% of its user base between 2015 and 2017. The report was made by collecting search data from Google.

Facebook doesn’t actually believe that Princeton is going to disappear by 2021, but instead released it’s report to have a bit of fun and show how research can be flawed. It even used Google data to jokingly come to the conclusion that there would be no air by 2060.

While the Princeton report may have been flawed, there are other reasons that Facebook could disappear.
