Latest: Though Apple (AAPL) has developed two models of its next-generation iPhone, only one may launch this fall, Reuters notes. According to unnamed sources in Apple’s supply chain, displays for a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model will start mass production in May and June. The displays will be manufactured by Sharp, Japan Display and LG Display (LPL). The screens for the iPhone 6 models use in-cell touch panel technology. That technology allows Apple to produce ultra-thin screens, shaving the new iPhone’s thickness. However, production problems involving the in-cell screens for a 5.5-inch model have prompted Apple to delay mass production of 5.5-inch screens for several months. The difficulty may even cause Apple to switch to film sensor technology in displays for the larger iPhone. The Reuters report appears to support a research note issued by UBS (UBS) analyst Steve Milunovich last week indicating that only the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model was “certain” to launch this year. Other recent reports have said that Apple would launch both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch model at the same time this fall.

Starting: A jury has been chosen to hear the latest patent lawsuit between Apple and Samsung, Bloomberg notes. The jury selection was finalized on Monday and the panel is expected to hear opening arguments in the trial on Tuesday. Apple is suing Samsung for allegedly violating five mobile technology patents. Apple is asking for damages of $2 billion. The jury — composed of four men and six women — includes a retired IBM (IBM) manager, a college accounting clerk and a store clerk. The jury was selected in the same San Jose courtroom where Apple won a $1 billion patent infringement judgement against Samsung in 2012.

It’s Woz!: Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak tells Gizmodo that he occasionally telephones Apple users posing as the iMac-maker’s customer support. Wozniak made the admission while providing more detail about a video posted online that shows him delivering an iMac to a fan’s home. In the video, Wozniak — affectionately dubbed Woz by Apple enthusiasts — accompanied by his wife Janet hand-delivers a new iMac to a little girl named Emma. The video, which was filmed several years back, was posted online by the girl’s dad with Wozniak’s permission. Wozniak emailed Gizmodo to say that at appearances people often tell him how much a family member would like to meet him. “I often ask them for the phone number and dial their son or spouse and pretend to be from Apple customer support asking questions about how they like their Apple products and more,” he admits.
