Vincent D’Onofrio, who has appeared in Men in Black and Law and Order: Criminal Intent, will play Wilson Fisk –a.k.a. Kingpin– in the upcoming Daredveil series.
The upcoming Dardevil series is a collaboration between Netflix (NFLX) and Disney’s (DIS) Marvel. Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television, described the Kingpin as “an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero.” Fisk was last played by Michael Clarke Duncan in the Daredevil movie released in 2003, reports Variety.
Vincent D’Onofrio is joining Charlie Cox, who played in Boardwalk Empire, for the Daredevil series. Cox will fill the role of Daredevil and Mat Murdock, the vigilante’s alter ego. D’Onofrio may have to bulk up for his role as the Kingpin, as the crime lord has a large stature in most forms of media, reports Science Fiction.
