HealthKit: A new trademark filed by Apple (AAPL) in Europe points toward a wearable device, reports Business Inisder. The trademark filing is for the company’s HealthKit. It includes mention of a collection of devices, such as a clock, watches, time pieces and watch straps. The company is expected to launch its HealthKit platform with iOS 8. These factors point toward a possible Fall release for the rumored iWatch.
Battery: New rumors claim that Apple will be upgrading the battery in the iPhone 6’s 4.7-inch version
, MacRumors notes. The new battery is rumored to have a capacity of 2,100 mAh. Previous rumors put the upgraded battery at 1,810 mAh. Either of these will be an increase over the 1,560 mAh battery featured in the iPhone 5s. If rumors of the 2,100 mAh battery are true, it will still be below the 2,800 mAh battery found in the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8’s 2,600 mAh battery.
Radio: Beats may getting ready to help Apple with its iTunes Radio, reports The Wall Street Journal. Ian Rogers is the head of Beats’ music-subscription service. Recent rumors claim that he will be heading efforts on the company’s iTunes Radio. Beats offers a subscription service for $10-a-month that allows users to stream music. Apple’s iTunes Radio is also a streaming service for music, but its free to use and is supported by ads.
