The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus became available for purchase on Friday and many flocked to stores to buy them. The 10 million in sales for the devices exceed the company’s expectations. However, CEO Tim Cook said that the company could have sold more phones it if had a greater supply, reports The Wall Street Journal.

When the iPhone 5S and 5C was released in 2013, 9 million of the devices were sold. These devices were available in China at luanch. However, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus weren’t released in China over the weekend, WSJ notes.

While the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus didn’t launch in China, that doesn’t mean some didn’t make their way into the country. According to Forbes, many of the customers standing in line for the iPhone 6 launch at Apple’s Soho store were Asian. The number of Asians in Soho dropped after it was reported that Chinese customs officials were confiscating grey market iPhones.
