Facebook (FB) is attempting to lure some of the top YouTube content creators to FB Video.

fb-facebook-youtube-google-googAccording to The Wall Street Journal, Facebook has been in talks with several users from Google’s (GOOG) YouTube in an effort to get them to post their videos on its website. These talks have included The Annoying Orange creator Collective Digital Studio, GoPro (GPRO) and others.

Facebook is likely hoping that it can keep users on its website instead of having them leave it to go to YouTube. Videos posted on the website would show up in users’ new feeds and on the page of the content’s creator. The company has built a team just to handle increasing video presence on its website, WJS notes.

Facebook has been working to better its video service and has included several new features. Two new features introduced earlier this week are a view counter and the addition of relative video suggestions. These are two features that YouTube has had for quite some time.
