Apple (AAPL) has released an update to OS X Yosemite that is supposed to fix the Wi-Fi glitch many Mac users have encountered.
The OS X Yosemite update has several bug fixes included with it, but the Wi-Fi glitch is probably the most major fix. The Wi-Fi issues experienced by Mac users has resulted in a 1,000-comment thread in Apple’s support forum, reports ZDnet.
ZDnet applied the update to one of their own Macs that was affected by the Wi-Fi glitch and it fixed the issue. The update can be downloaded by clicking the “Update” tab located in the Mac App Store.
Despite the OS X Yosemite update, several Mac users are still reporting that they are having trouble with Wi-Fi connectivity. Some users can’t even connect to Wi-Fi while others can only remain connected for a few minutes before losing connection, Computerworld notes.
Mac users that are still having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi after the OS X Yosemite update can try to fix the issue themselves, but there is no guarantee it will work.
