Sony’s (SNE) PlayStation Now service will be coming to some Samsung smart TVs in 2015.

playstation-now-samsung-sneThe Samsung smart TVs with PlayStation Now will be released sometime in the first half of 2015. The service will allow users to play PlayStation 3 games without having to own a Sony console. However, a DualShock 3 or DualShock 4 controller will still be needed to play the games. Sony plans to release the service on other devices in the future, reports VentureBeat.

The move to Samsung smart TVs will mark the first time that PlayStation Now will be available on a non-Sony device. It’s currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and select Sony smartphones. The service currently includes over 200 PlayStation 3 games. PlayStation 2 and original PlayStation games are expected to be added to the service in the future, VentureBeat notes.

The Samsung smart TVs will be shown running PlayStation Now at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015. The event will take place in January, reports Cnet.

SNE shares were up 2% as of Wednesday afternoon.
