The Apple Watch (AAPL) won’t be available for in-store purchase until June.

Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts wrote a memo to staff explaining the reason behind the delay. High demand has forced the company to delay the launch of Apple Watch in April and May.
“It’s important to remember that Apple Watch is not just a new product but an entirely new category for us,” Ahrendts writes. “There’s never been anything quite like it.”
Online customers who pre-ordered Apple Watch will still get it next week–Friday, April 24.
AAPL stock is down 0.2% Thursday afternoon.
