Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) employees are going to get huge discounts on the upcoming Apple Watch.
According to a letter from CEO Tim Cook, employees looking to buy an Apple Watch will get a 50% discount for the Sport and stainless steel version of the device. Those looking to purchase the gold Watch Edition will get a $550 discount. The employees must be buying the wearable devices for personal use to get the discounts, reports MacRumors.
The Apple Watch discounts for the company’s employees will start as soon as pre-orders are available. The discount is avaiable for 90 days. After this, employees of the tech company will have to pay the normal price for the device. The discount will also be extended to other countries, MacRumors notes.
“More than one thousand apps were submitted in just four days last week when the App Store started accepting them, and the rate of submissions has only been climbing since then,” Cook said about Apple Watch apps in the letter to Apple employees.
