McDonald’s menu in nine Southern California locations has been changed to include a breakfast bowl that has kale in it. The bowl is also made up of turkey sausage and egg white. It cost $3.99 and is part of the fast-food chain’s efforts to restore sales by becoming a “modern, progressive burger company,” reports Time.

The addition of kale to McDonald’s menu comes months after the company blasted it in an ad for the Big Mac. When asked why it switched gears, a spokeswoman said that they didn’t. She claimed that the ad was specific to the Big Mac and didn’t affect the company’s other offerings, Time notes.

The addition of a kale breakfast bowl isn’t the only recent change to the McDonald’s menu. The company announced near the end of April that is was removing almost 10 items from its menu to simplify it.
