Here are your Apple Rumors for today:
Display: A new video that claims to show off the display for Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone 6s has been posted online, reports MacRumors. The video takes the display that is claimed to be for the upcoming iPhone 6s and compares it to the display found in the iPhone 6. The two displays appear to be mostly the same, but there is one key difference. The video shows that the display that is rumored to be for the iPhone 6s has an additional connector. It’s believed that this connector will be used for Force Touch, which is one of the major features rumored to be coming with the new smartphone.
Shell: A video that
claims to show off a rear shell for the iPhone 6s is making the rounds online, AppleInsider notes. The video shows a possible iPhone 6s rear shell that has been structurally improved over the rear shell found in the iPhone 6. This shell has additional brace points in it in what is likely an effort to reduce the risk of the smartphone bending. This would fix a problem that some users had with the iPhone 6. Despite having more reinforcements and being bigger, this rear shell is actually slightly lighter than the one found on the iPhone 6. Also, the rear shell that is shown off in the video is gold, suggesting that this could be a color option for the iPhone 6s.
iPad: Possible 3D CAD schematics for the iPad mini 4 have been revealed, reports 9to5Mac. These newly leaked images show that the iPad mini 4 will be 6.1mm thick. This is a decrease from the 7.5mm thick iPad mini 3. This falls in line with previous rumors that the next generation of the iPad mini will basically be a smaller version of the iPad Air 2. This also includes rumored upgrades that the tablet is possibly going to get.
