Facebook (FB) Mentions, the special service that allows celebrities to connect with fans, has been updated.

Facebook Mentions has been updated to include the ability to live stream videos. Users of the service will be able to connect with their fans in a new way via this ability. There are currently more than 900 million people that follow celebrities on Facebook.
Here are a few things to know about the Facebook mentions live video update.
- Celebrities can use the service to hold Q&A sessions with fans via comments on the video.
- Comments can be hidden if the person holding the video stream chooses to do so.
- Users that have recently interacted with a verified public figure will get a notification when that person starts live streaming.
- Live streamed videos will be automatically uploaded to Facebook after being recorded, but can still be deleted.
- Facebook Mentions is currently only available through the Apple (AAPL) App Store.
