Friday Apple Rumors: Apple TV May Launch in Early November

Here are your Apple Rumors for today:

apple-rumors-tv-delay-november-aapliPhone: Apple (AAPL) is now selling unlocked iPhone 6s and 6s Plus smartphones online, reports MacRumors. The new iPhones that don’t have SIM cards allow customers to buy the devices without having to worry about being tied down to a contract. However, the drawback to this is that these customers will have to pay for the pull price of the device. Having an unlocked iPhone 6s or 6s Plus means that owners will be able to easily switch to a local carrier when traveling abroad.

Battery: Apple claims that different A9 chips only slightly affect the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus’ battery lives, TechCrunch notes. The tech company said that its tests showed that there was only a difference of 2% to 3% between the different chips made by Samsung (SSNLF) and TSMC (TSM). A difference that small means that users won’t likely notice major changes between how long a device with the different A9 chips stays charged.

TV: A new rumor claims that the Apple TV is being delayed to November, reports BGR. The new version of the TV will be the fourth one released by the tech company. It was expected to be released in October, but now there’s word of a delay. However, this rumor also claims that the new set-top box will be available for preorder in late October. It’s believed that the delay to November will have the new device being released early on in the month.
