Facebook News: 4 Things to Know About the New FB Video Features

Facebook has announced that its testing new video features via its Facebook news outlet.

New video features that are currently being tested include a lot of features that users of Google’s (GOOG,GOOGL) YouTube may already be familiar with.

Here are some of the new features that were announced as part of the Facebook news.

  • Suggested Videos — This option would have other videos showing up that a person might be interested in watching after finishing a video.
  • Floating Videos — The Facebook news also says that the company is looking at allowing videos to remain floating on-screen while the user is navigating Facebook to allow for multitasking.
  • Save for Later —  The social media company is working on a system that allows users to save videos back for watching at a later time.
  • Video Home —  This feature will be a home for video content on Facebook and will be available for testing via the company’s app for Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone and in web browsers.
