Disney (NYSE:DIS) has released the trailer for its upcoming live-action adaptation of The BFG.
The film — based on the 1982 children’s book by English writer Roald Dahl — is being directed by Steven Spielberg. It centers around “a young girl and the Giant who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country.”
The giant is 24-feet tall, has a sharp sense of small, isn’t the smartest giant out there but has a big heart (both literally and figuratively). The girl — Sophie — has plenty of questions upon meeting the giant.
The trailer begins with an ominous voice-over narration from Sophie, talking about the witching hour when evil comes out to play, which arrives at midnight. She adds that she thinks it comest at 3 in the morning, when she’s the only one left awake.
