Game of Thrones Concert Tour 2017: What to Know

If watching all the Game of Thrones episodes and reading the books has left you thirsting for more, the new concert series is right for you.

game of thronesMusic from the popular HBO show will be translated into live concerts all around North America in a tour that will consist of 28 cities. The event will feature music from show composer Ramin Djawadi.

A teaser of the event was presented in Los Angeles by the USC marching band, which performed some of the show’s favorites. Game of Thrones star Isaac Hempstead Wright — who plays Bran Stark — introduced Djawadi at the event.

The composer said the idea came as he was listening to Game of Thrones music at the studio and thought it’d be a good idea to take it on the road.

“There’s some great, big exciting moments, like for example Mesa, which was when Daenerys frees all the slaves, and people will remember that very uplifting moment, but then we will perform some of these heartbreaking moments with real musicians,” he said

.

The composer added that the musicians will really get into the groove of the show, performing with their instruments as well as their bodies to bring the sounds of Game of Thrones to life.

Additionally, LED screens and elaborate stage designs will be implemented, as well as a stage that is 360 degrees to ensure that everyone has a good seat.

Expect Game of Thrones in Kansas City this February, in addition to New York, Los Angeles, three cities in Canada and much more.

Exceptionally good weather has caused the filming of season 7 of Game of Thrones to be delayed, which also means that the season premiere won’t be broadcasted until late in the summer of 2017.
