JK Rowling turned the world upside down in the 1990s with 2000s with Harry Potter, and it looks like she’s got more left in the tank.
So far, the British author has released seven full-length Harry potter novels, a collection of children’s stories from the same universe, and, most recently, a stage play featuring Harry’s son and his route to Hogwarts. Rowling said the latter would be the end of the road for Harry Potter, but she has now announced there will be three more books.
The first one will be called Short Stories from Hogwarts: Of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists, which will dwell on darker elements related to Hogwarts, including what Azkaban prison is like, as well as the activities of a young Voldemort.
The second is titled Short Stories from Hogwarts: Of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies, and it will consist of Hogwarts during the Second Wizarding War, showcasing Professor Minerva McGonagall.
The third Rowling offering will be
Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide, and it will reveal secrets about the wizarding school.
The books were announced on Pottermore, a website that includes all things Harry Potter. The site is curating the books as well.
The length of each offering will be about 10,000 words, or a novella. Current plans are to release them as e-books, with no mention of whether or not physical versions of them will later come.
The Rowling books will retail for about $3 apiece.
