Leading the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumor mill today is news of the company acquiring a machine learning company. Today, we’ll look at that and other Apple Rumors for Wednesday.

Apple Acquires TuplejumpApple has reportedly acquired machine learning company Tuplejump, TechCrunch notes. AAPL hasn’t come out an confirmed the acquisition, but it did say that it “buys smaller technology companies from time to time.” This response has been the company’s typical one when it has purchased a company, but doesn’t plan to talk more about it. It’s also worth nothing that Tuplejump no longer has its website anymore. This would be the tech company’s third acquisition of a machine learning company since 2015.

Pro Surfer Puts iPhone 7 Through Water TestKai Lenny, a professional surfer, has put various iPhone devices through water tests, reports 9to5Mac. The professional surfer compared the iPhone 6, 6s, 7 and 7 Plus. The iPhone 6 and 6s only lasted for about five minutes. The iPhone 7 was actually able to survive a full 30-minute session in the water. The iPhone 7 Plus didn’t do so well. It still worked, but the audio was garbled and and unclear.

iPhone 7 Sound Complaints: Several iPhone 7 owners are complaining about audio issues with the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, AppleInsider notes. Owners of the devices noted that sound appears “distant” when taking calls with the smartphones. This problem was mostly reported by iPhone 7 Plus owners, but some normal iPhone 7 owners also complained about it. The cause of the issue is unknown and Apple is simply directing users with complaints to its basic troubleshooting guide.
