6 Things to Know About the AT&T-Taylor Swift Deal

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and Taylor Swift have partnered up.

The two are joining forces to bring exclusive content to the forefront. Here are six things to know about the deal:

  • 10-time Grammy award-winner Taylor Swift will share her music with a crowd in Houston the night before the Super Bowl, marking the 12th annual DIRECTV event preceding the event.
  • Over the coming months, Swift will share music and other content with her fans–it is unclear what exactly this content will entail.
  • The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4 in an arena in Houston that will be 64,000 square feet.
  • Fans will be able to access tickets through a number of AT&T promotions and campaigns.
  • AT&T Entertainment Group CEO John Stankey commented on how excited the company is to bring Swift’s talent to the stage, adding that the event includes A-list celebrities, some of the greatest musicians around and the opportunity for fans to get their hands on tickets, as well as “exclusive content from the event to our customers and celebrate the combination of one of the world’s biggest artists with one of the world’s biggest sporting events.”
  • The concert is only the tip of the iceberg surrounding AT&T’s relationship with Swift as the two will issue a series of updates on social media over the coming months.

T stock is down 2.1% Tuesday.
