McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD) is pushing itself to make its products healthier and fresher moving forward.

The fast food chain’s latest venture will consist of improving its burgers with beef that is completely fresh as it has never been frozen. 75 restaurants in the northern part of Oklahoma will be testing the product.

A slate of popular McDonald’s products will use fresh beef patties, including the restaurant’s Quarter Pounder with cheese, its Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, a Quarter Pounder Deluxe and the Bacon Clubhouse Burger.

A McDonald’s chef elaborated on the move, noting that using fresh beef will ensure that the company’s burgers are juicier as the beef is fresh 100% North American. Its seasoning is simple, consisting of salt and pepper.

The chain has been making moves recently to make its burgers and chicken more enticing products for customers by pledging to remove antibiotics from chicken and ramping up its efforts to shop organic.

Frozen beef patties have long-been a method used by fast food restaurants to ensure the company is stocked up with products that can easily be cooked. However, the burgers lose some of their zest when you freeze them.

More than 14,000 restaurants in the U.S. run on beef patties. McDonald’s managers are concerned that the switch to beef patties could create a slate of health issues due to how quickly these patties can go bad.

MCD shares dipped 0.7% Tuesday.
