Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE:KSS) is leaving everyone in suspense with the company’s plans for the holiday season and the seasonal jobs it will add.

Seasonal JobsWe’re less than three months away from Christmas now, and less than two months away from Black Friday, marking the beginning of the madness known as the holiday season which is as crazy as it is fun. Usually, companies such as Kohl’s rush to hire seasonal employees to help the with the high volume of customers that hit its stores in the following months.

However, the company has been very quiet about what exactly it will do during the holiday season, including the number of workers it will hire and where they will be located. Nevertheless, Kohl’s officials said its hiring numbers this year will be similar to how the company’s done it in previous holiday seasons.

On average, the company has hired about 50 employees per stores, which will help out with the higher traffic expected in more than 1,100 stores, as well as distribution and e-commerce fulfillment centers all around the nation.

Some of these positions will even become permanent, the company said. Of the workers it hired last year, a good chunk of them — about 14,000 — become permanent positions.

Kohl’s said it will host a seasonal hiring day on Oct. 7 at more than 200 of its locations across the country, which you can learn about on this website.

KSS stock is down about 0.5% Thursday.
