The curbside pickup service is a new way for consumers to get their items without having to enter the store, which is especially useful if you’re only going in to grab a food item or two.

For now, the service will only be available in 50 stores in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The concept is simple: you order a product or a series of products on the Target app, then click “Drive Up” as the chosen method of delivery.

The retailer will then inform you of when your items are ready for pickup. Customers can then hit the “I’m on My Way” button as they head out to the store, then pull into the designated “Drive Up” parking spot in front and a Target team member will come out with their order.

More than 200,000 items will be eligible as part of the Target Drive Up initiative, including home furnishings, toys, electronics, non-perishable food items, baby care and more.

“We think this is going to be a service that our guests will love, whether they’re going to a birthday party and need to grab a quick gift or whether they run out of diapers,” said Jamie Bastian, a Target spokeswoman.

The company said it will work to fix any bugs or glitches with the service as it continues to test it before deciding to expand it.

TGT stock fell a fraction of a percentage Wednesday.
