World Autism Awareness Day takes place every year on April 2. As the name already suggests, it acts as a time for people to bring awareness to autism by sharing information with others. This can includes personal stories, videos and, of course, images.

2019 marks the 12th annual celebration of World Autism Awareness Day. Anyone looking around their local areas might find special events to celebrate the day with. There are also calls to donate to charities to help those with autism and bring more awareness to the development disorder.

World Autism Awareness Day is actually part of a longer period of time when people seek to bring awareness to autism. This is World Autism Awareness Month. As you may have already guessed, the month that this takes place in in April. That means you don’t have to stop bringing awareness to autism today, or really even at the end of the month, either.
