Gabelli Global Gold, Natural Resources & Income Trust (AMEX: GGN) — This non-diversified, closed-end management investment company, which invests in the equity securities of companies principally engaged in the gold and natural resources industries, has provided a steady dividend return, as well as a way to participate in major metals mining stocks.
The Trade of the Day has featured GGN numerous times within the past year as one of the best stock picks, and it has rewarded us with consistently good returns. Now, after making a new high for the year on Jan. 3, at $19.40, GGN has pulled back to a buy point at $18.50, it 50-day moving average.
With a dividend rate of $1.68, which yields 9%, GGN appears to again provide a way to participate in a resumption of higher gold prices without the volatility associated with other gold-related investments.
