Bands: Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) has released a new website that includes guidelines for third-party Watch accessory makers, reports MacRumors. The new website for Watch bands includes specific details for accessory makers that tell them what they’ll need to be approved by the tech company. Some requirements include band makers keeping the two lugs that connect to the device. These lugs can’t become jammed while in extended positions and can’t block the user’s wrist from having access to the bottom of the Watch. It also recommends that bands be made of silicone, nylon or stainless steel.

Battery: Some Apple Watch owners are complaining about their devices’ battery life when working out, AppleInsider notes. Some owners have noted that the device drains very quickly when being used during a workout, with cyclists noting major loss of battery life. One such owner said their battery only lasted for two hours when they took a ride. It’s possible that being paired with an iPhone that has the GPS turned on could be part of the heavy drain on the Watch. Users also have the option of slowing the heart rate sensor in an effort to reduce power consumption while exercising. The device is supposed to last for 6.5 hours during a workout.

Patent: Apple has received several patents in relation to its Watch, reports 9to5Mac. Five patents have been awarded to the tech company of its Watch. These patents cover the overall design of the device and how it works. These patents include the Digital Crown, rear sensors, bezel, contacts button and the slots for straps. The company also recently received three patents for its different bands and more are expected to be one the way. One interesting patent that was filed by the company is for a display that could provide tactile feedback.
