Tesla News: TSLA CEO Elon Musk Would Welcome an Apple Car

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) news includes CEO Elon Musk liking the idea of an Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) car.

He said that Apple could help electric vehicles become more accepted by the general public. Apple didn’t comment on the matter, but it’s rumored the tech company has plans for an electric car, reports CNNMoney.

Elon Musk is hoping that Tesla Motors will have plenty of competition from other electric car makers. He started the company to push the technology forward and has released all of its patents to the public so others can easily get in on the game. He also responded to Tesla news that Apple was hiring the company’s employees, but said he is hiring five times as many from the tech company, CNNMoney notes.

Apple’s rumored car project is reportedly called “Titan”. It’s believed that the tech company is going for a 2020 release. There’s also talk that Apple is offering major sign-on bonuses and salaries for experts on car batteries, reports Forbes.
