The New York Military Academy was set to open on Monday, but never did. The institution needs $13 million to settle its debts and pay for others costs associated with operating the school. Some hope that Donald Trump, an alumnus of the school, would help with the debt, but he declined to when similar problem occurred with the school four years ago, reports The New York Times.

The New York Military Academy filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March. The location is expected to go up for auction at the end of the month for a minimum of $9.5 million. The school has seen a decline in students lately, with less than 100 attending last year, NYT notes.

“I can tell you that one of the great choices I ever made in terms of success is the choice of going to NYMA,” Trump told Business Insider earlier this month. “I loved it. It was terrific training. It was tough, but it was good.”
