These sources claim that the tech company is trying to catch up to Alphabet Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,GOOGL) Google Maps. It wants to use drones to provide up-to-date information about road conditions. This would include pointing out areas with construction to users. The rumor claims AAPL is currently putting together a team of experts to handle this task.

Battery ToolThere is a new tool that lets iPhone 6s users check to see if they can have Apple replace their battery, MacRumors notes. This new tool is made by AAPL and is available on its page for the issue. It allows iPhone 6s owners to enter their device’s serial number to see if it is eligible for a battery replacement. The problem with the batteries can cause the devices to shutdown without warning. It reportedly only affects a small number of iPhone 6s smartphones made from September 2015 to October 2015.

iPhone 7 Production: Rumor has it that Apple is scaling back iPhone 7 production, reports AppleInsider. According to this rumor, the tech company is reducing production due to a lack of interest in the device after its initial launch. The rumor comes from supply chains in Taiwan. AAPL normally slows production of its new smartphones as the next year approaches. This rumor claims that it will ship 5 million fewer devices in the first half of 2017 when compared to the second half of 2016.
