There’s a slate of new original Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) shows being released next year.
There’s plenty that’s new from Netflix in 2017, including at least 20 new series that will mark an expansion for the company’s 2012 initiative. Four years ago, Lillyhammer was released on the original streaming app as the first original TV series on the site.
The company hopes to have about 1,000 new hours of original programming every year, or perhaps more. All in all, the new original Netflix shows will amount to about $6 billion in costs to ensure that these shows are of the highest quality.
The app has 30 original shows that are scripted and currently in development or about to be released as of today. Netflix is also spending on adding a number of new original TV movies that you can enjoy on the site.

Additionally, plenty of your favorite shows, including Orange Is the New Black will have new seasons that you can expect sometime in 2017.
NFLX shares fell 1.5% Monday.
