Search engine powerhouse Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) is denying that its Street View vehicle in Botswana struck and killed a donkey.

Rumors have been circulating about the donkey death since the picture of the donkey lying by the side of a road near Kweneng, Botswana, went viral, the Los Angeles Times reports. Yesterday, Google released a photo showing the donkey standing and fine.

The Google Street View project sends cars out to take 360-degree images of streets and areas. The photos are then available for all to view on the firm’s website.

Google posted the photo on its blog under the header, “Never ass-ume.” In the post, the donkey is seen getting back to its feet after what the post assumes is a dust bath.
