Windows 8.1 Update Causes Major Glitch for Users

Microsoft’s (MSFT) Windows 8.1 update is finally here after much anticipation but it appears that the operating system is already causing problems for users.

BBC reports that the update has prevented some touchscreen devices from starting up properly and the company has removed the operating system from the website until the bug is fixed. Those using RT tablets and laptops saw their devices freeze up during the boot-up process soon after getting the 8.1 update.The new system is also causing problems for Internet Explorer users as well as those using Outlook and some Google services.

Microsoft issued a statement warning users about the update’s glitches and the company will be working on these bugs until they are fixed.
