Apple has been looking to fill the void left by former PR Chief Katie Cotton when she left two months ago. The company could find a replacement in Carney, if it’s actually looking to hire him. It’s still up to debate if the tech giant is actually looking to hire the former White House Press Secretary or not, Business Insider notes.

MarketWatch claims that Carney wouldn’t a be a good fit for Apple due to his shrugging off of the media while he worked as the White House Press Secretary. The news website states that he just wouldn’t do well at a company that is heavily scrutinized and focused on by tech lovers.

Twitter (TWTR) also didn’t have much good to say about the possibility of Carney as Apple’s PR Chief.

  • “Oh, dear God. If Apple wants me to go Android/Windows, this is how to do it. (And I’ve owned their gear since 1970s).”
  • “Well Carney can definitely tell a lie with a straight face- so anything apple wants to put out there Carney would carry it forward.”
  • “If he does I am not buying another apple product!”
