Facebook (FB) has released a new app called Rooms.

facebook-rooms-fbFacebook’s Room app is a throwback to the day of chat rooms. It allows for anonymous posting and gives users the option of disclosing as much or as little of their private information as they want, reports USA Today.

Here area a few things to know about Rooms, as collected from USA Today.

  • The app is currently only available on devices running Apple’s (AAPL) iOS.
  • Users aren’t asked for a first or last name when creating an account.
  • Users can have multiple names for different rooms.
  • Rooms allows users to share photos and messages about focused subjects.
  • Each room has its own QR code that can be shared with people.
  • Rooms is available on the App Store in the United States, United Kingdom and other English speaking countries.
