NFLX, DiCaprio Team Up on Endangered Gorillas Documentary

'Virunga' is slated for an early November release

Netflix (NFLX) and Leonardo DiCaprio are releasing a documentary about endangered gorillas.

The two joined forces for Virunga, an Orlando van Einsiedel film that looks at gorilla preservation in Virunga National Park, located in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

A team of park rangers will fend off poachers from these endangered mountain gorillas in the documentary. DiCaprio is serving as the movie’s executive producer.

“With Virunga, we’ll work with Leo to introduce viewers around the world to an incredible, gripping story that will have audiences guessing right up until the final act,” said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos in a statement.

Virunga will be released on Netflix and in select New York and Los Angeles theaters on Nov. 7.

NFLX stock is up 0.6% Monday afternoon.
