A new report claims that Tesla Motors (TSLA) may face a skilled worker shortage in Nevada.

According to a Brookings Mountain West report, the state is currently dealing with a skilled worker shortage and the addition of the gigafactory will only worsen the problem, USA Today notes.

According to the report, Nevada is stretched thin when it comes to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workers. The average time it takes to fill a STEM job is 30 days in the state. In comparison, it only takes 24 days to fill a job that doesn’t require a STEM worker, USA Today notes.

Dale Erquiaga, the superintendent of public instruction in Nevada, said that the report should act as a warning that school systems need to focus more on math and science, reports ValueWalk.
