Facebook (FB) has added a warning on videos with graphic content.
The move is designed to alert users of images and videos that may contain extreme or graphic material. Content with the warning will not be accessible to users under 18.
“Videos that contain graphic content can shock, offend and upset,” reads the Facebook warning. “Are you sure you want to see this?”
A Facebook spokeswoman said the network hopes users become more responsible for the content they choose to share on their pages.
The social media site recently launched a new feature called Facebook at Work.
FB stock is down 0.22% Wednesday afternoon.
